Clothing Line Workshop Gives Fashion Designers in Detroit and D.C. an Inside Look into the Real World Of Fashion
(PRWEB) January 15, 2008 -- Smart Start Events will host a Clothing Line Workshop, taught by industry veteran Liza Deyrmenjian, to debut in Detroit and Washington D.C. this March 2008 that will shed light on the real world "How To's" of launching a clothing line. This much needed workshop seeks to bridge the gap between traditional textbook education and real world experience and give its attendees an edge on making their fashion dreams a reality.
The time has come for fashion designers outside of the traditional fashion markets to get the opportunity to learn about the real world aspects of starting and maintaining a successful fashion business. With the advances in technology and the increasing worldwide spread of the internet, business opportunities that never existed before have opened up in many industries making it easier for more people to pursue their dreams.
This 2 day crash course on fashion business will be taught by Liza Deyrmenjian whose credits include manufacturing products for leading companies such as UMBRO, INTRAWEST RESORTS, LEDCOR, WEST BEACH, and COSTCO, along with many other brand labels. She has also consulted for many new designers including BRAVO TV Series "Project Runway" winner Jay McCarroll. Her impressive resume goes on to include wardrobe styling for commercials, television series' and feature films.
"When I first discovered Liza's workshop I was so excited because she was offering something that I knew was really missing among aspiring designers that you just don't learn in school," says Jennifer, a Smart Start Events representative, whose company's mission is to host exciting educational events that can help launch businesses and dreams.
It's not a surprise that the enthusiasm of this workshop is shared by many of her past workshop attendees including one from New York who says "I'm currently a fashion design student with a dream to work as a designer for myself on my own line. I'm almost done with school and I was still completely clueless on how to start. But after Liza's seminar I almost feel like half of my schooling was a waste of time. I learned so much from her. I'll definitely be attending one of her seminars again!"
